Sacraments
The seven sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist (Holy Communion), Reconciliation (Penance, Confession), Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick are outwards signs instituted by Jesus Christ to give grace in order to sanctify the soul.

Marriage
Preparation of a couple for the sacrament of Marriage begins when the couple contacts the parish office. This should take place at least six months prior to the desired time of their wedding date. At least one member of the wedding couple should be a member of the parish – and a practicing Catholic. Preparation includes meeting with the Deacon or Priest to review all the required documentation. This will then also include planning for the parish wedding, attending a weekend Natural Family Planning class (NFP), and a weekend Catholic Engaged Encounter class. For more information, please contact the Parish Office at 801.255.8902, ext. 231.
Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick is available for anyone experiencing illness or special need. It is particularly appropriate at the time of a surgery or medical procedure. If you would like to receive Anointing of the Sick, please call the parish office. Do not wait for an emergency if at all possible. Communal celebration of this sacrament may take place in the parish at various times of the year. Individual anointing can be arranged at any time. If you have any questions, please contact the Parish Office at 801.255.8902, ext. 231.
Confession
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Confession, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church. The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.
